Build, build, build! We aim to work on 5 web projects simultaneously with just 2 developers assigned to each project at any one time.
To achieve this we have a few floating developers and sys admins who will help on all projects, and much of the codebase is common to all sites (and thus shared accordingly). This setup significantly decreases the amount of time it takes to launch new projects. We started with this configuration in 2010 and it is working very well for us.

Ringo.com
Created 2003, sold to tickle.com 2003
Ringo was an early Social Networking site, 3 months after launch it was the second largest in the world with 400,000 members; at the time Friendster was the largest with 1m members. Those numbers felt really big in 2003. Ringo was launched 2 weeks after first seeing Friendster and an agreement to sell it was reached 3 months after that. Those crazy days!

Bebo.com
Created 2005, sold to AOL 2008
Having launched Ringo during the very first days of Social Networking, Bebo was very much a late comer, launching well after MySpace had been declared the largest site in the US and Facebook were starting to open up to the world. Despite this, it grew to be the largest site in the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, with more than 10 billion monthly page views. It was a fun ride.

Jolitics is a Political Networking site designed to encourage open constructive political debate. Jolitics aims to avoid the intimidating, and dare we say slightly boring aspects of politics. Everyone can create and vote on political proposals and campaign their government to make changes. Zuno.com
Created 2011
Having created Birthday Alarm 10 years previously, we wanted to re-approach our first business with a blank sheet of paper, and think about how we would build it today. We came up with Zuno, and we think it's rather good! It's a super simple greeting card site which plugs very neatly into Facebook and runs as both an iPhone app and a website, with all the functionality available on both. Visit Zuno.com

WaterForward
Created 2011
This is perhaps a slightly unusual project for a business as it is a non-profit website, but if you're in a position to do it, why not? WaterForward is an idea that we conceived and developed as a way to support charity: water (our favorite charity).Visit WaterForward.com
